Making Math Manageable - Making Math Easy

During school closures, you can still keep math learning going. In math, a substantial part of learning consists of training. Practicing your math skills on a daily basis will help you solve math problems faster and with less effort.

Luckily today we can harness technology for home learning and all kinds of distance learning. With a mobile device, you can even learn and do your math workout on the go.

The internet is everywhere and there are many resources and edtech tools to support distance learning and training. Oftentimes, though, digital support through schools is not more than the transmission of task sheets and assignments through the internet, for instance, email, WhatsApp or FaceTime (instead of mail or fax) and thus the digital possibilities are not used efficiently. In other cases, schools support their classes interactively, for instance, by sharing documents or distributing assignments via Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams.

However, when it comes to both many and simple tasks, such as basic arithmetic operations (for instance, lots of times table training resources), the organizational hassle may become disproportionate.

This is where MathByDoing kicks in: generate your own task on your mobile or desktop device. You don't even have to type. Just swipe and browse hundreds of little tasks. This encourages you to try solving on or own: just press the four seconds button or the nine seconds button and you have time to solve mentally or in writing.

This math app was created primarily for 6th to 10th graders, but can also be used earlier, for instance, for praciticing basic arithmetic operations on page one.
